Russian Imperial Stout gets its name from the time of the Tzars in Russia. This coalblack beer was the favourite of the Russian royal family. We have interpreted this classic beer a bit in our own style with the use of peatsmoked malt and the addition of a touch of freshly brewed Colombian coffee. Traditionally stout has been used as a dessert beer, but by our experience it is a shame to pair this beer with overly sweet desserts. Try it instead together with soft, sharp cheeses or with chocolate containing at least 70% cocoa. Hornbeer Russian Imperial Stout is also excellent enjoyed on its own! 8,1% ABV
